Paediatric Ultrasound Skills

This course is for all doctors specialising in paediatrics, who wish to acquire new skills involving ultrasound.

Areas covered on the course include:

• e-learning resource on the basic principles of ultrasound and indications, complications and management of vascular access

• Live scanning of sonoanatomy

• Central femoral access

• Lung ultrasound, including intercostal drain insertion

• Practical demonstrations and practice in small groups

• Troubleshooting, personal practice and videos.

• Places on the course are limited to 20.
