If you are due to have an operation and would like more information about the anaesthetic, then please have a look at the Patients and Relatives section on the Royal College of Anaesthetists website.

Patients attending the Pre-Operative Assessment Clinic in Aberdeen will receive a copy of the Anaesthesia explained booklet. You can download a copy here.

North of Scotland School of Anaesthesia

This section of the website is to provide a resource for anaesthetic trainees in the North of Scotland School of Anaesthesia, in the North of Scotland Region of NHS Education Scotland

Core Trainees in the North of Scotland school are placed at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary or Raigmore Hospital in Inverness. The majority of Specialty Training time is spent in Aberdeen at the four main hospitals.
