Ultrasound Guided Vascular Access Course
This course is aimed at doctors and other healthcare practitioners who wish to expand their knowledge and skills related to vascular access. Courses run three times a year on a Wednesday afternoon from 1300 to 1730.
Areas covered on the course include:
- e-learning resources on the basic principles of ultrasound and indications, complications and management of vascular access.
- Practical demonstrations and practice in small groups of peripheral and central vascular access.
- Troubleshooting, personal practice and videos.
Places on the course are limited to 20 and the course fee is £30 for nurses, radiographers and AHPs, £45 for trainee doctors and £60 for consultants.
The course is approved by the Royal College of Anaesthetists for 2.5 CPD credits.
