Scottish Advisory Board Meeting

The RCoA Scottish Advisory Board (SAB) is meeting on the 22nd March and I am looking for DIRECT FEEDBACK from yourselves on any issues (local and national) to raise from the anaesthetic trainee perspective. I would welcome your thoughts, which you can email to myself on: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

The SAB meets regularly to respond to the needs of devolution and help create services in anaesthesia, critical care and pain medicine to meet the requirements of the Scottish public. It also plays a key role in anaesthetic workforce planning, recruitment, delivery of training and education in Scotland. As part of my role I am also co-opted into several relevant groups including the NHS Education for Scotland (NES) ICU, A&E and anaesthesia Scottish Training Committee (STC) as well as the Scottish Academy Trainee Doctors Group (SATDG), where I can represent anaesthetic trainees views and priorities.

I am currently producing brief 'trainee-specific' minutes of the meetings I attend in this role to improve the distribution of current information & topics of discussion relevant to Scottish trainees and raise awareness of what the RCoA Scottish Advisory Board do. If you would like a copy of these sent out directly to you by email please let me know.

Many thanks and I look forward to hearing from you!
